Bath, England

We started out our Sunday by heading to church in Bath. We found a Sacrament Meeting in an interesting old building on a narrow side street. There had to be some posing for pictures before heading inside to a loud and warm church building.
Awww... such a cute shot of the best tour guides and hosts around.
The acoustics on the second floor of the building were pretty echoey, which made thing a bit more noisy than even we are used to. And these cute faces soon headed downstairs to the extra space provided, so that they could enjoy the meeting without every sound they made being heard as clearly... tho they were far from the loudest children there.
After church, Caleb and I headed off on our own in search of this amazing bridge and the views around it that I had heard about. This search brought us to Prior Park about the city. For a Sunday afternoon, this was exactly what we needed. The place was practically deserted and the weather was beautiful. We wandered around exploring the ground and checking out the views.
Prior was apparently the person who was made very rich by coming up with the English postal system. Must have been a pretty smart guy, and he had a nice house in Bath to show for it. The Mansion is now some sort of college, but the Park was still opening for happy wandering.
Wow, the view of Bath was great.
We followed the trails at the top first, so that all of our views could lead us to the bridge that I had been longing to see. It really was exactly something out of my imagination of England, and probably quite a few English movies as well.

At some point the water ran under the bridge in more of a waterfall than it does now.
He didn't want to look too romantic on the Bridge, but he did pose for a picture.
A solid lake of green algae on one side.
After a little afternoon lemonade, we wandered down the streets of Bath back to the city center. The houses were so interesting with very small doors leading into them, and some with high stone fences right up to the edge of the street.  Loved this wandering afternoon.
