More Home Photos

Ok, the last of the house tour. The kitchen and dining room are just to boring to be featured on this page, so you have to come and visit to check those out. (Gavin had to pose and say "Cheese" in all of the photos.)
Here is our room.
Not really a good spot to get the whole room, but you get the idea.

Here is the new sink that Caleb put in, along with Gavin standing on the new stool that Mom painted for him.

The New Place Etc

Finally a few photos of the Living Room. The first one is a bit blurry, but it was taken from a weird angle from the dining room... so that is as good as it gets.

At Schatzy's request... a nice fat pregnant photo. 6 weeks to go.
Caleb got a headlamp from Mara for Christmas, both he and Gavin love to wear it for all of their flashlight needs.
Notice the winter beard in full force...

It is COOOOLLLLLDDDD!

Well it is definetely winter. We got a lot of snow this week and plenty of super cold weather to follow, so the snow has actually stayed with us for a while. Here are some fun photos of Gavin helping Mom to dig us out of the snow. You will all appreciate that I was able to avoid any pictures of a bundled up pregnant women shoveling show in her pajama pants. Good thing our house is back off the street.
Here is Gavin with his tough guy scowl. He wanted to wear Daddy's hat to the library, but Mom said No. What a killjoy I am.

I put Gavin to work sweeping snow off the car. He thought it was a great job.
It turned out that throwing snow was a much more fun job though. I wish I had had video so that you could hear the hysterical laughing that accompanied the snowballs.
He might have fallen down in the snow a couple of times.
Here he is out in front of the house. This is our side of the duplex, the other side is the same... only backwards. And they have their porch much more decorated than we do.

Happy Times in Iowa

Christmas in Iowa was a great trip for us. We left a week after the move and showed up as a surprise the Papa and Grandma, but it was very fun. Luckily the weather was not too cold, and there was plenty of fun to be had. Gavin loves to visit family and did surprisingly well on the trip, so that was a huge blessing.
Here he is riding an elephant on the carousel. We went on the free night so that the kids could ride as many times as they want.

Caden, Gavin, Kelbie and Macy are playing us a great Christmas number.

Gavin went ice skating for the first time. Here is being helped by Mara and Ben.

Merry Christmas

We decided to do a pajama photo for our Christmas card this year, but since we had a hard time getting Gavin to cooperate, it was hard to see the pajamas at all in the photo that we ended up choosing. Here are a few of the ones we didn't. You can see that Mom and Dad obviously look the best in the ones where Gavin decides not to be as charming.

A new House... A Busy Month

Well, no new photos yet. We finally made our move and purchased our first home... actually a duplex. A quirky older couple with cats is renting the other side of it from us. We moved in for a week and then went to Iowa for a week, and we are finally back home and feeling more calm and settled than we have in a couple of months. Unfortunately we have had some bad days, and one of those included the day that the order for our cable and internet was lost into some unknown abyss... so we still can't post our holiday or new home photos. Hopefully soon. We have been using some strangers wireless connection on the laptop to occassionally check e-mail, but that is about it for now. I am hoping to post new photos before next week, but we shall see. Gavin really enjoyed Christmas and is now saying "We home." when we pull up here, so I guess that is a good sign. We are getting ready for the new baby, only 2 more months... still holding out for a March 4th due date... the countdown is on.
