I don't know why this makes me so proud, but it does.
Gavin had set some goals to learn to tie his shoes and wash his own hair before his birthday, and he did it with more than a month to spare. I get so excited when he actually chooses the shoes with laces to wear to school. We still stick close to make sure he doesn't end up discouraged at his new talents, plus I love to watch my little boy doing such independent big kid things.
